Practical training in Periodontology and oral implementology- First year

Management of clinical cases shall begin from first year onwards. On clinical training should be as follows:

First year(Practical training) Basic periodontology:

• Oral prophylaxis including root planning
• Maintenance and supportive periodontal therapy
• Appropriate laboratory training in Histo-pathology and microbiology of periodontal diseases

• Hands – on table demonstration of various implant systems
• Library dissertation – 2 copies to be submitted to the head of the department at the end of the first year

Practical training in Periodontology and oral implementology- Second year

Second year (Practical training): Basic surgical procedures:-

• Non-surgical managements of periodontal cases – 30 cases
• Various types of simple procedures for pocket eradication
